Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices
Effective date and last updated: September 2026
Website, Communications, and Privacy Policy
1. Scope and ChiroWay’s Franchise Structure
ChiroWay operates through a franchise model. Except in certain limited circumstances, individual ChiroWay practice locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees (“ChiroWay Franchisees”). This website and related online services (collectively, the “Site”) are operated by ChiroWay Franchise, LLC. In this Website, Communications, and Privacy Policy, “ChiroWay,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to ChiroWay Franchise, LLC and, when applicable to the interaction at issue, the independently owned ChiroWay practice location with which you communicate.
This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use the Site, submit a form, communicate with us, or opt in to receive communications. A ChiroWay Franchisee may maintain its own privacy practices and policies for information collected directly by that location.
Protected health information created or maintained by a health care provider is governed by applicable health-information privacy law and the Notice of Privacy Practices provided by the treating practice. The Notice of Privacy Practices summary below does not replace a location-specific notice when one is provided to you.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and identifying information: name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and other information you choose to provide.
- Inquiry and relationship information: information submitted through contact, franchise-interest, appointment-request, survey, registration, or similar forms.
- Communications information: messages, communication preferences, SMS or email consent records, and records of your interactions with us.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, dates and times of visits, and other information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Health information: information you choose to provide to a ChiroWay practice in connection with care. Please do not submit sensitive medical information through a general website contact form unless the form expressly requests it and is intended for that purpose.
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Site, and from service providers or other sources as permitted by law.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to questions and requests;
- facilitate appointments, services, and account administration;
- provide customer support and communicate about visits, scheduling, reminders, care-related matters, and service updates;
- respond to franchise inquiries and administer the franchise evaluation process;
- maintain communication preferences and consent records;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Site and our services;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- enforce our agreements and protect our rights, users, and operations; and
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, understand Site usage, assess performance, and improve functionality. You can adjust cookie controls through your browser. Blocking certain cookies may limit some Site features. Where required, we will provide additional choices or obtain consent.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information:
- To the appropriate ChiroWay practice: when needed to respond to your request or connect you with an independently owned location.
- To service providers: vendors that support hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer support, scheduling, and other business functions. They may use information only to provide contracted services or as otherwise permitted by law.
- For legal and safety purposes: when required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property.
- In a business transaction: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of a business, subject to applicable law.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to disclose information or otherwise authorize the disclosure.
We do not sell mobile information or SMS opt-in data. No mobile information or SMS consent will be shared with or sold to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction does not prevent us from using service providers solely to deliver or support our communications, provided those providers are contractually limited in how they may use the information.
6. SMS Communications and Consent
ChiroWay may send SMS text messages concerning visits, scheduling, appointment reminders, account or service information, and care-related updates when you provide your mobile number and expressly opt in through a website checkbox, a written form, or another documented consent method. ChiroWay does not use this consent to send promotional or marketing SMS messages.
- Message frequency varies based on your relationship and requested services.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
- Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to opt out.
- Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the information below.
After an opt-out request, you may receive one final message confirming that the request has been processed. We will honor reasonable requests to revoke consent. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Email Communications
You may unsubscribe from nonessential email communications by using the unsubscribe link included in the email or by contacting us. We may still send transactional, administrative, security, or care-related communications when permitted by law.
8. Data Security and Retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, and operational requirements.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site without appropriate parental involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site inappropriately, please contact us.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and ChiroWay is not responsible for those practices.
11. Your Privacy Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, or to change communication preferences, by contacting us. We will review and respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. Certain information may be retained when required or permitted by law. Rights concerning protected health information should be directed to the ChiroWay practice that maintains the applicable record.
12. Changes to This Policy

Notice of Privacy Practices
Your Information. Your Rights. Our Responsibilities.
This notice describes how medical information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can obtain access to that information. Please review it carefully.
Applicability of This Notice
Most ChiroWay practice locations are independently owned and operated. The health care provider or practice location that creates or maintains your protected health information is responsible for that information and may provide you with a location-specific Notice of Privacy Practices. If a location-specific notice differs from this website notice, the notice provided by your treating practice controls for information maintained by that practice.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Inspect or obtain a copy of your record. You may request an electronic or paper copy of your medical record and other health information maintained by the practice. A reasonable, cost-based fee may apply where permitted by law.
- Ask to correct your record. You may request a correction to health information you believe is incorrect or incomplete. The practice may deny the request in certain circumstances and will explain a denial in writing.
- Request confidential communications. You may ask the practice to contact you in a particular way or at a particular location. Reasonable requests will be accommodated as required by law.
- Ask for restrictions. You may ask the practice not to use or disclose certain health information for treatment, payment, or health care operations. The practice is not always required to agree. If you pay for a service in full out of pocket and request that information not be disclosed to a health plan for payment or operations, the practice will honor the request unless disclosure is required by law.
- Receive an accounting of disclosures. You may request a list of certain disclosures of your health information made during the applicable period before your request.
- Receive a copy of this notice. You may request a paper copy at any time.
- Choose a representative. A person with medical power of attorney or legal authority to act for you may exercise your rights, subject to verification of that authority.
- File a complaint. You may complain to the practice or to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services if you believe your privacy rights were violated. You will not be retaliated against for filing a complaint.
Your Choices
For certain health information, you may tell the practice how you want it disclosed. If you have a clear preference concerning disclosures to family, friends, or others involved in your care or payment for care, tell the practice. In a disaster or emergency, information may be disclosed when necessary and permitted by law if your preference cannot practicably be obtained.
Written authorization generally is required for uses and disclosures for marketing, the sale of protected health information, and most uses and disclosures of psychotherapy notes, when applicable. You may revoke an authorization in writing, except to the extent action has already been taken in reliance on it.
A practice may contact you regarding fundraising when permitted by law, but you may opt out of future fundraising communications.
How Health Information May Be Used and Disclosed
A practice may use or disclose your health information without written authorization when permitted by law, including:
- Treatment: to provide, coordinate, or manage your care and to communicate with other professionals involved in your treatment.
- Payment: to bill and receive payment for services and to determine coverage or benefits.
- Health care operations: to operate the practice, improve quality, train staff, conduct audits, manage services, and contact you when necessary.
- Public health and safety: for public-health activities; reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or domestic violence; preventing or reducing a serious threat to health or safety; and reporting product recalls or adverse events, as permitted or required by law.
- Research: for approved research activities when applicable legal safeguards are satisfied.
- Compliance with law: when disclosure is required by federal, state, or local law.
- Organ and tissue donation: to organ-procurement organizations when applicable.
- Medical examiners and funeral directors: to coroners, medical examiners, or funeral directors as permitted by law.
- Workers’ compensation and governmental functions: for workers’ compensation, health oversight, law-enforcement purposes, military and national-security activities, and correctional institutions as permitted by law.
- Legal proceedings: in response to a court or administrative order, subpoena, discovery request, or other lawful process when applicable requirements are met.
Other uses and disclosures not described in the applicable notice will be made only with your written authorization unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
Our Responsibilities
The responsible health care practice is required to:
- maintain the privacy and security of protected health information;
- notify affected individuals following a breach of unsecured protected health information when required by law;
- follow the duties and privacy practices described in its currently effective notice;
- provide a copy of the applicable notice upon request; and
- not use or disclose protected health information except as described in the applicable notice or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Changes to This Notice
The responsible practice may change the terms of its notice. A revised notice may apply to all health information maintained by that practice, including information created or received before the change. The current notice will be available from the practice and, when applicable, on its website.
